  • Have you guys heard of Crayon Case? They are recent indonesian band that sounds quite similar to supercar's first album. Also, seeing the album cover design, I think that's a bit intended. I was so happy to find that band and that some people are still listening, bringing back music of supercar...

    • I've listened to Crayon Case!! They're fantastic and I can tell that there are SUPERCAR influences!! It's great that young kids today are still making this kind of music. BTW in their recent live show in China they covered SUPERCAR's single "Lucky"!!

      • Yeah I saw that on youtube quite ago and t was fantastic!! I think supercar is still giving influence to contemporary artists, especially to the guitar pop shoegazey musicians.

  • Hi everyone. So glad this site exists. I wanted to ask if anyone knows any ways to get original merch in this day and age... I can see lots of CDs on discogs still and own futurama but rly rly rly want some merch too if possible...

    • I get them mainly by japan seconhand shops. Buyee is good option. Also If you look for tshirts look for Grailed there are some uploaded now.

  • I just bought LAMA alternative #1 at good price. I'll upload every track on my youtube channel since I found out noone uploaded them. So excited to hear them first time ever...

  • bought LAST LIVE and Supercar/High Booster + U.N VJ Work on DVD and once the DVD reader I ordered for my laptop (can't believe they don't come with them anymore -_-) gets here i'll upload them to YT since the current LAST LIVE upload cuts out White Surf Style 5

  • Uploaded 2000s gigs furukawa miki interview. I found out she actually used blue sbv-500 during futrama tour. I didn't know that since there were not enough records during futurama tour.

  • SUPERCAR is my number one band. At least other bands I love are quite similar to SUPERCAR I think... My lovable bands are Clams, Advantage Lucy, Black Tambourine, Flyying Colours, N,shukugawa boys, broken little sister, TRPP, Pasteboard, ceremony(Rocket Fire), ART-SCHOOL(SONIC DEAD KIDS). Is there any band that is also your favorite ones? Actually, I want to know which bands you guys like, and if they are related to SUPERCAR too!

I love MBV a lot, and I can see their influence inside Supercar's first album.

      • I see! I love MBV too... I think SUPERCAR is influenced by noise pop, noise rock artists.

    • I don't think I ever found a band quite the same. But these are some with distinct identities around the shoegaze genre, and songs to sample: - Lotus Plaza (Sunday Night, A Threaded Needle) - Malory (Spring, Sleeper) - Tamaryn (Dawning, Heavenly Bodies) These are the types that benefit from volume all the way up.

      • I love quiet, dreamy, repetitive shoegazes. They remind me of Oeli. Thanks for suggestion!
